2024 Year-End Announcement

Dear residents,

Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 345 (District) owns, operates and maintains, among other infrastructure, a water plant, a wastewater treatment plant, two (2) lift stations, and water and sanitary sewer lines. During the 2024 calendar year, the District launched a new website, approved a 10-year capital improvement plan prepared by its consulting engineer, installed a generator at each of the two (2) lift stations, installed a generator at the wastewater treatment plant, and acquired a site to construct a second water well. The District also levied a total tax rate of $0.1580 per $100 of taxable assessed valuation for the year 2024, which is a reduction from the total tax rate of $0.165 per $100 of taxable assessed valuation for the year 2023.

While we are all preparing for family festivities, criminals are preparing for opportunities to take advantage of your holiday shopping spree. Report any suspicious activity immediately to the Constable’s Office. Harris County Constable Precinct 5 patrols our area and has a link on its website just for this purpose. Hurricane Season is upon us!

Now that Hurricane Beryl is behind us, we want to take the opportunity to recap a few things as we enter the heart of the hurricane season.  Due to the multiple backup systems MUD 345 has in place, we were able to deliver water and sewer services during Beryl without interruption.

If we ever need to issue a boil water notice, or we expect a prolonged outage, this will be communicated to customers.  In addition to utilizing the MUD 345 Notification System to notify customers, we will also post updates on the MUD 345 website, and for boil water notices, we will place signs throughout MUD 345.  For immediate and up-to-date information, you can always contact Inframark’s 24-hour customer service line at (281) 398-8211 or, during normal hours of operations, Inframark’s customer service line at (281) 579-4500 .

If you haven’t already, opt-in to receive messages from MUD 345 via email, text and voicemail by following the link on the right-hand side of the MUD 345 home page.

Groundwater Reduction Plan

Harris County MUD 345 has contracted with the City of Houston to participate in the City of Houston’s groundwater reduction plan (“GRP”) in order to satisfy the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District’s regulations on groundwater withdrawal in Harris and Galveston Counties. The City of Houston charges Harris County MUD 345 a fee for every 1,000 gallons of water withdrawn by Harris County MUD 345’s well, and Harris County MUD 345 passes such fee through to its users based on the amount of water they use and for water loss. The City of Houston typically increases its GRP fee on April 1 of each year, and Harris County MUD 345 has no control over the amount of the GRP fee established by the City of Houston. For additional information regarding the GRP, please see the Resources page.
